Yesterday's painting of Santo Spirito dates back a few years. This one wrapped today. It illustrates the aperitivo hour as the Sunday market in the piazza closes and locals and tourists shift to tables fronting restaurants on the east side of the square. #florenceart #acrylicpainting #fineart #art

Three boys scrimmage around a soccer ball in a paved piazza. The plaza wraps a fountain which draws a few adults and a couple of dogs. Beyond, the sculptural, sweeping curves of the front elevation of the church is framed between a couple of trees on the left side of the painting, while a series of multistory buildings fronted by umbrella-covered restaurant tables enclose the right side.
