Wild bleeding hearts (Dicentra eximia) are in full bloom!

tubular purple and white flowers with distinctively folded lips. the short calyx opens horizontally, but the corolla tube immediately curves up to stand vertically. the folds of the upper and lower lips of the flower together sorta resemble a the nose and puckering lips of a human face. the upper lip forms the "nose" and "upper lip" while the flower's bottom lip forms a jutting "lower lip"

Shirofugen is the latest blooming one and was full on 4/24 in my fav park. It is 1-2 week earlier than last year.
Kazan is the 2nd late, and already finished in downtown on 4/24. But in West Van, this 100 trees were fully blooming
