So, the late Rick Loomis shepherded us through a round of practice games, then ran a three-round bracket. I won't say I was better at playing #LostWorlds than the other newbies, I was just less worse.
And that's how my name got on the #FlyingBuffalo Trophy Wall.
#LostWorlds was one of the classics I'd never played, so I signed up for a learn-and-tournament event held by the game's publisher, #FlyingBuffalo Inc. I assumed I'd go out of a tournament in the first round.
It was supposed to be a 64-person tournament. Only eight people showed up, all newbies!
