Stopped off at the famous Heckington 8 sail windmill on the way back from #FolkEast. Last visited it in 2013 and the 8 Sail Brewery wasn’t open then. Brown Ale in the glass and Damson Stout and Imperial Porter (10%) in the bottles.

I had never heard of this brewery until yesterday. We stopped off at the windmill on the way back from #FolkEast and discovered the brewery. I had a Boston Brown Ale that was wonderful!
Saw your stall at #FolkEast & very impressed. Didn't spend as much time in Art Arcade as usual. Strangely I think due to the lack of toilets in area. After Moot Hall event you could nip to the loo then peruse art tent for an hour before the next show. This year you had to leave the area for the loos
The closing act at this years @folkeast.bsky.social was Penguin Cafe. There is no doubt they are hugely talented musicians, but they are not for me and for the first time ever didn't stay to the end of the final concert. However, they were very popular with the large crowd that stayed.

I do like the 'NorthWest' Morris style and this Team were very good. Sadly I only saw the end of them as the card machine in the beer tent was playing up.

I am not a big fan of the 'Cotswold' Morris style, but you have to admire the skill and energy involved.

Surely few better ways to start a day than a tea and a bacon roll, an impromptu harp and guitar recital, and randomly finding a wee knitted guy to take home all in the same half hour. #FolkEast is the greatest!
