Orange isn't a common color to use in the past for embroidery since the die was unusual and I assume pricier. Industrialisation made orange thread easier to get #rkrn_other #folkwear (Cluj Ethnographical Museum)

A squiggly line of a weaving kit. Along the length there are several knots. At one point half the threads are attached to much thinner threads which are in turn tied to a wooden rod. There is a several inch section that is already woven showing a black, white, green, and red pattern. The woven end is finished in a big chunky braid meant to be replaced later with smaller ones once the weaving has progressed. pattern is inspired by the Palestinian flag and the traditional Palestinian scarf kufiya (all sales in this pattern aid Palestine). It is laid out on a white linen backround.

I make kits to learn to weave a traditional Irish crios (belt) using the old loomless method! A crios was worn as part of the folkwear of the Aran Islands! It's comes as shown all ready to weave with about 2" prewoven to get you started!
