During the events of episode 6 of FLCL, Haruko would be laying low for a while as she and Canti were wanted criminals. She would be planning her next move to get to Atomsk and just before Haruko heads over to Naota's home she would encounter a mysterious person known as Z-Unknown, who was curious of the situation in the city of Mabase and curious of Haruko who is an alien. Haruko would try to fight Z-Unknown, but this fight is unlike her battles with the Medical Mechanica robots and the Bureau of Interstellar Immigration as Z-Unknown enjoys his battle with Haruko who was struggling. In the events of FLCL Progressive, a trio of techno-organic human cybertronian hybridsarrive in Ohzu to find another techo-organic like them. Jax who was leading the trio would encounter Haruko who fights Jax and would accidentily activate his N.O. channel. Haruko would not only have her sights of Hidomi and Ide, but she would try to use Jax to further her goal of attaining Atomsk as she would with Hidomi and Ide. Although over time, she grows fond of him in which Jax would feel the same way. But Haruko would try her best to focus on attaining Atomsk while Jax would try to stop her from doing so. A couple years after FLCL Progressive, the Galactic Space Police Brotherhood has had enough of Haruko's reckless pursuit of Atomsk and would plan to either capture or eliminate her with the assistance of an alien on Earth, Darkspace. Haruko would yet again return to Earth to get Atomsk somehow but she would encounter Darkspace, who was able to take on Haruko. While he was supposed to capture or eliminate Haruko, Darkspace tries to reason with Haruko, hoping to get her to stop chasing Atomsk, however Haruko would tick Darkspace off and that would be a big mistake.
