I’ve been enjoying #foundationtv . I’m looking forward to season 4. With all the tech they’ve been using, I think this is the prehistory of #Gallifrey .
® Peter F. Hamilton © X 2h-Q@ Asort-of end of the year update. I normally don't do reviews, but I've just finished the latest season of Foundation, and really enjoyed it. It does have a few names and themes from the Asimov books, but the producers have taken those and run with it. They've also spent a lot of money, and the visuals show that. I'm going to be interested to see where they finish up. Also, just started Pluribus. Three episodes in, and again, keen to see where that's going. I've just spent weeks -feels longer- reading through proofs. Always the part of the publishing process | can live without, but it's got to be done. First off was The Helium Sea, which was the galley proof, that is the layout that's going to be printed. This is the last chance to correct anything, so it has to be a thorough read, not a skip-through. Thankfully Del Rey has done a good job as usual, so there were very few typos, and not one continuity error -that | could find. But given the size of the manuscript it took a while. Never mind, | thought, once it's done | can go back to writing. Then just before | finished, Angry Robot sent me the copy edit for volume 2 of the Arkship trilogy, The Captain's Daughter; that's the stage before the galley proof. It still needs a fairly intense read through. Again there were few mistakes, but it took time.
They're now both finished and returned to their respective publisher. To recap, The Helium Sea will be coming out on June 16th, and The Captain's daughter June 9th next year. (And no, | don't know when the Exodus game is being released. Maybe they'll announce it at the Game Awards tomorrow) So now, finally, I'm back writing Heavy Light again. This is a novel in an entirely new universe. Itis very SF, but more thriller than space opera -I'm sure marketing will have their own opinion on that. Given that I'm having four books published in 2026, it should be coming out in 2027. So have yourselves a grand Christmas and New Year, and I'll be back here in January.
The Science Fiction writer Peter F Hamilton (of the Nights Dawn trilogy, great fun) enjoyed the new series of Foundation as I did. Like Peter says they've taken the base text and 'run with it'
He also gives an update as to what he's been up to

For his next trick, Zohran will use the woke mind virus to command Trump to drown himself in the sink basin of the redone Lincoln bathroom.
Just stick his head in there and breathe in.....this is the power Marx wrote about! /s

What if Phara had let go of her hate?
What might have blossomed between her and Salvor & Hugo?

Man, Foundation on Apple TV is incredible! The sheer scale reminds me so much of the Dune universe. It’s one of those shows that demands your full attention, or you’ll get completely lost in the storylines.

[Spoilers for Foundation Season 4]
Well that was stellar! I like how they've deviated from the original text and also what they've done with what has been kept. The tantalising reference to the lost Earth at the end as well, it's all falling into place for what I presume is the final season […]
A 3D starmap based on Hipparcos* satellite data, the view is 10,000 light year from Sol, which is just at the centre of a small purple circle which is surrounded by three other, larger circles. A gold one to the bottom right, a grey one to the bottom left and a bright green on to the north west of the central purple square *the precursor to the GAIA mission which catalogues stars in our Galaxy
Thoroughly enjoying the latest season of Foundation, thoughtful space opera that takes place over centuries as all good Space Operas should.
Space is BIG, shows should express that. Ships take time to cross the vastness of Space, events can take centuries […]

Cracking opening scene to the new season of Foundation, looking forward to the much telegraphed new baddie being played by that guy who did Euron Greyjoy who I thought was underused in those final season, the character was just shoehorned towards the end, felt it didn't give the actor justice […]
Some fun with metallic watercolors. Turns out they're rkinda good at at replicating the look of the opening credits of #FoundationTV. Now if only I could get them to move...
or is it #FoundationTV ? either way get in here
The cast, the writing, the scale, it all comes together in something that honours Asimov while boldly doing its own thing. Can’t wait for season 4. #FoundationTV #Asimov #AppleTVPlus #SciFi #ScienceFiction #TVReview #FoundationSeason3 #IsaacAsimov #TVThoughts #BlueskyThreads

Bayta. Mallow. is. not. the. Mule. #FoundationTV
She’s a ruse just like the pirate before her. What else Magnifico could do, so close to being discovered?
The finale was incredible. Everything about Empire had me at the edge of my seat. The Foundation stuff was ok too. Thrilled to see they are getting a 4th season because I do not want it to end here.
#FoundationTV
On the other hand I really like the plot line with 'Brother Dude' and 'Brother Dusk/Death/Insane-Whako'

#FoundationTV Series 3 has been phenomenal, emotional, n executed with such precision that it feels like prestige television. The writing is unmatched, honestly the best tv since Game of Thrones season 6.
Laura Birn’s Lady Demerzel is the heart and tragedy of the show. Awards
Didn't see that last scene coming
#FoundationTV
Ohhhhhhhh!
Some people will be happy about a theory.
Two actually
#FoundationTV
Um
That's major main character syndrome behavior.
#FoundationTV
OH
MY
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Buckling in for the penultimate episode of the season. There are too many interesting characters and not enough screen time. I’m excited to see where this is going.
#foundationtv
Good tv is the only thing getting me through existential dread about our country and the planet. Just finished last season of #UploadTV. Bummed it was only 4 episodes. The ending felt rushed. Just starting #FoundationTV. Can’t believe it took me this long to start it.
#FoundationTV episode 1.02
Okay, I like the expansion of the conflict between the Galatic Empire and the Outer Reaches, with the Empire's excessive retaliation no doubt being a drive for their independence and thus the beginning of the breakup of the Empire.
As an arms girly, the Pritcher fanservice has been delectable.
#FoundationTV
But anyway, #FoundationTV
1) They are teasing us with the idea Salvor returns, and it's sickening!
2) Gaal allowed an entire planet to be wiped out for the betterment of the plan, Dermerzel killed millions for for the betterment of Empire.....this standoff finna be good as hell.
Two fine ass black people, one man shirtless and holding the woman's face
Like......the material 😭❤️🔥
#FoundationTV
I do not want a love triangle between Pritcher, Gaal, and Dawn like don't piss me off.
#FoundationTV
Gaal and Pritcher's relationship just scratches an itch for me. I love it really bad (please don't kill Pritcher iswtg!!)
