The curious pouring #fountainsTO at Scrivener Square (wait for it ...)

The Roy Thompson Hall #fountainsTO - often not on, but captured here in action by @mccmolly.bsky.social
Another #fountainsTO - "At the CNE, behind the bandshell, next to the Peace statue by the Acqua nightclub. Actually there are 2, close to each other, pretty identical." - says @junkycosmonaut.bsky.social - thanks for the contribution!

The Roy McMurtry fountains at the court house on University Avenue, originally designed by landscape architect Michael Hough (who also designed Ontario Place landscape), "symbolic of balance and justice" explains the plaque #fountainsTO
And another example of a private #fountainsTO in a front yard, from the east end
It's wonderful when private homeowners supplement Toronto's overly limited supply of #fountainsTO by putting a fountain in their front yard for all to enjoy! Two examples from the east end. First one:
Trip to Hamilton - admired this magnificent #fountainsHAM - we have some great and fun #fountainsTO in Toronto but do we have a classic big one like this?
Nearby, in Market Lane Park beside the new St. Lawrence Market North building, all too typical abandoned and decrepit #fountainsTO. The park is going to be rebuilt - but will it have fountains? #deadfountainsTO
What has probably taken over as Toronto's most iconic #fountainsTO - the delightful dog fountain in Berczy Park created by the late Claude Cormier. We need more of this kind of elaborate fountain in Toronto!
Much better #fountainsTO action from Alexander the Great parkette now! It's in heatwaves like these that we most need our fountains (and all the more since the heat will keep getting hotter with global warming). Should be part of the city's climate strategy.
And over on the east side from the #fountainsTO archives: the Rosetta McClain Gardens fountain.
From the #fountainsTO archives: the Alex Ling fountain at Jane and Bloor West.
In this piece, author Dan Rubinstein notes that being near any kind of water - including fountains - has beneficial effects on the human psyche. That's why we need more #fountainsTO !

#fountainsTO - possible addition in the future! But needs people to fill out the survey in support - apparently there's some local opposition. bsky.app/profile/did:...
Good point - yet another #fountainsTO that has been neglected
The revamped Alexander the Great Parkette fountain. Not sure if it gets more lively at other times? But pleasantly gurgling, at any rate. #fountainsTO
A #fountainsTO in need of rescue (as so many sadly are).
Starting up my old Twitter #fountainsTO thread on Bluesky with Toronto's most iconic fountain, Nathan Phillips Square. The theme of the thread is that fountains are good and Toronto should have more of them. Feel free to contribute!
