We got to see quite a few animals while at the Four Mile Historic Park.
That included this friendly barnyard beast that became very interested in my camera.
"All right, Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close up."

Harvesting honey at Denver's Four Mile Historic Park.
That's something that was done in the 1800s that hasn't changed today.

We visited the Four Mile Historic Park in Denver back in 2018. We enjoyed seeing what life looked like in Colorado in the 19th Century.
And we also got to pan for gold. The kids were sure they had hit pay dirt. I didn't have the heart to tell them it was pyrite.

My daughter, good friends, and a lovely evening at #BrightNights at #FourMileHistoricPark in #Denver last night.
Not depressing: I love this frickin' horse. As does my family. He's as big as a house and gentle as a mouse. #FourMileHistoricPark also has goats, chickens, pigs and tons of weird, old, cool stuff.
