Of course. I really think the only way we, as outsiders, can meaningfully make a difference for Palestine is by each of us assigning ourselves to a specific family that touches us. I tried to start a campaign for this through #FriendsOfPalestine but the traction wasn't there.

I was inspired by the buddy system developed by queer organizers during the height of the initial AIDS crisis to support people with AIDS to start #FriendsOfPalestine, where I assign volunteers a specific family of Palestinians to befriend, support and assist with fundraising.
