Tizen-based Galaxy watches will be out of support in two months If you're still using your Tizen-based smartwatch from Samsung, such as Galaxy Gear S3 Frontier or Galaxy Watch Active, you'll have to plan for an upgrade to a Wear OS-based one, such as the Galaxy Watch8 series. According to the official Samsung schedule for phasing out the Tizen Watch service, you will never be able to re-download any pre-purchased content from the Galaxy Store.

Tizen-based smartwatches will become fully obsolete on September 30th, 2025.
