Crimson clover, with its dark green leaves and deep red flowers, is a great cover crop for the garden. I like to plant it in fall and enjoy its arrival once the weather warms.

We will hit a high of 50 today--maybe. Then rain and snow.

I thought ths was a good day to dig around in my garden.

One of the things I love to do is cultivate cover crops. This is crimson clover (Trifolium incarnatum) or Italian clover. Isn't it beautiful?

I have many seeds of purple coneflower (Echinacea purpurea) doing it thing in the winter sow greenhouses. I'm not sure where I'll plant these, but they are back in my favor. They can be a bit invasive, but they are so beautiful.
