Garden update, got fed up with my old seeds not sprouting & bought some plants from the local nursery. Replanting lettuce. Flowers saying hello! & why can't lettuce just be like dandlion and hang around without bolting? #gardenlikeitsadepression
With this heat wave & all, time to transplant tomatoes. I mix my own soil, Kellogg is a local brand & their facility is near me, a little peat goes a l9ng way, and i also add a tad bit of composted steer manure. Another round of potatoes are going in the ground soon too #gardenlikeitsadepression
Pocket gophers are terrible. Got the roots of this lil beauty. I'm trying to revive it a tad, hopefully back to a crunchy state. Planted more lettuce seed elsewhere once I stopped cussing the critters out. Sigh...was time for a succession planting anyway.. #gardenlikeitsadepression
Today's harvest of dandilion leaves. And the diy olla pot im going to install in a garden bed today, consisting of 2 unfired 6 inch clay pots sealed together with fish safe silcone. Bottom hole is sealed shut with the same silcone & a sticker to make it stable #gardenlikeitsadepression

Garden pics.. Just weeded and planted another round of carrots🥕 . California Wonder are bell peppers in the ground. So far so good with the lettuce, but the bib lettuce not ready for transplanting yet. I originally went back there to tie up the peas.. #gardenlikeitsadepression

Haven't been back here for a few weeks, light weeding needed, eh, it's not too bad. I'm putting down some tarps as weed suppression in the pathway as we're to be getting some good rain soon. I wish the carrots grew faster.. they're so dinky atm. #gardenlikeitsadepression
Update on the garden.. Just planted some peas, and tidied up a tad. Harvested some grass (for my critters) and a few tomatoes 🍅 (for me) i have no issues with growing carrots in a bucket, either. It's the best place to store them. #gardenlikeitsadepression
