Wow, that's great! I got 17 species in my yard, 2 of them lifers. I got 9 additional species at a nearby wetland, 4 of them lifers. Merlin suggested a few more that I didn't count because I couldn't confirm them. I wish I would have had more time for birding, but it was a busy weekend. #GBBC2026

A young cottontail rabbit is crouched in a ball in a backyard. Its ears are pointing up.
In the backyard for #GBBC2026 , so far the only new bird for today’s count is a vocal Spotted towhee.
But - is this a new young yard bunny?? 😍🥰 It is that time of year I think.
