White type over a black background: He hadn’t realized he’d pulled an old, worn paperback from the shelf until he heard Geto chuckling quietly behind him. “Are your shorts an insult or a request?” Satoru went still. He looked down, not sure what Geto meant by that observation. Geto leaned in closer from behind, his lips inches away from Satoru’s ear when he spoke. “They say ‘kiss my ass,’” He was close enough that the hair on Satoru’s arms lifted and he felt a cold sweat breaking out on his skin. Despite his nerves, he blurted the first thing that came into his head. “Does that mean you’ve been staring at my butt?” Geto laughed softly, the rush of breath cool against Satoru’s suddenly clammy skin. “Kind of hard not to in those shorts.” “Ha…” Satoru exhaled. It had been so long since he’d been flirted with that he wasn’t sure if the young man was just fucking with him. “It was a joke gift from a friend.” “You should thank them again. It’s a flattering one,” Satoru’s face felt very hot.
