Gilnor’s attention was grabbed by the sound of Halla making a choked sound. He turned abruptly towards her and let out a fracturing roar of agony. Her body was jutted upwards, a great pillar of sharpened rock spearing through it from her back, the point erupted through her chest. Blood spilled from the wound, and from the corner of her lips. Sileveth screamed, and the sound made the whole temple shudder. Gilnor collapsed to his knees. Halla was dead. He could no longer hear her heart. “If we are to wither, then that’s the price.” The earth scion said remorselessly. As tears rained from his furious eyes, Gilnor charged at him, clasping his taloned hands around the earth scion’s throat. The bastard didn’t even have the audacity to try and fight him, and simply smiled. The Father of all Crowned bit the earth scion. But he wasn’t going to let this one just fade. As soon as the scion was made mortal, Gilnor wrapped his re-erupted wings around his foe like a dark cloak, preventing him from vanishing into the mortal world. And preventing both Sileveth and the air scion from seeing him tear the earth scion apart, piece by piece with his fangs. When he re-emerged, he found his sister cradling Halla’s body. With his power dispersed, the earth scion’s pillar had shattered. The air scion’s hands were glowing with nature magic as she tried desperately to repair what her companion had done. Her fingers quaked. The physical damage of the earth scion’s attack was gone, but still Halla did not breathe. “I… I cannot, it is… Too late…” she mumbled, tears of her own falling. But Sileveth could see that these were not false. “Please… I did not know he would… I am truly sorry…” She cowed before Gilnoruil and he stared daggers into her. Good. She should fear. They should all fear. For now he had nothing left to lose. Fey-kind was a mistake.

I feel like posting some feels. So here's a thing from Curse. Ever wondered what Gilnor would do if Halla died?

The sorcerer wanted desperately to reply, but nothing would come out. His tongue felt restless in his mouth, and yet he couldn’t summon any words. He couldn’t even form them in his thoughts. They were just so tangled up in that uncertain, fearful mess of not knowing his own feelings. A part of him wanted to challenge Astarion’s affirmation that he wanted something that ‘could not be’, to point out to him that Gilnor had never directly refused the possibility of affection from him, but that part was being swiftly smothered by the uncertainty and doubt. He was afraid. Afraid that he would somehow make Astarion’s difficult history with intimacy worse with his own bullshit. No… He couldn’t do that to his friend. He wouldn’t do that to his friend. Not when Astarion had been so generous to him in helping him deal with his Dark Urge, and in protecting Halla from it. Subconsciously, his hand had found his pocket again, only this time, his clawed fingers had delved inside and were lightly caressing the glass bottle that contained his blood. Gilnor brandished it and offered it towards Astarion. The moonlight caught the bottle, glinting off the perfectly polished glass and the deep carmine liquid inside. Astarion knew instantly what it was, either by sight or smell or both, and blinked adorably like he had no idea how to respond. The tiefling’s tail curled anxiously, a soft heat rising in his cheeks. “Here.” He said, giving the bottle a tiny, gentle shake. Astarion reached out his hand, and taking special care not to touch his pearlescent, cool skin, Gilnor deposited the vial in the vampire’s palm. Astarion’s perfect fingers closed around it. “What-?” he started. Gilnor shrugged. “What am I going to do with it? I cannot exactly put it back now, can I?” he replied. “A vial of blood is far more useful to a vampire, is it not? Although if it smells even a little bit off just dispose of it. I… I can’t deal with the thought of me… Poisoning you.” He was shocked to find Asta…
