My latest acquisitions:

Xantener Berichte Bd. 49 contains two articles about gladiator helmets. The first about a brim from Nijmegen and a cheek piece from Xanten which might have belonged to the same helmet. The second is about the Berlin helmet.

Richly decorated murmillo gladiator helmet from Pompeii

Visited today the temporary exhibition 'Feste Feiern' (Ready to Party) at the Museum für Kunst & Gewerbe in my old hometown Hamburgwhich had some gladiatorial artefacts on display.
