My goblin-child's grubby little fingerprints are all over the concepts in my book but this is the most marked idea. The idea of putting your hopes and dreams and literal heart into a thing outside your body and seeing it grow and come alive and become itself gets me every time

Notable Members Though the Drakemoot is a place of compromise, the two largest and most vocal factions are still those of the chromatic and metallic dragonflights. The chromatic dragons are led by the ancient red wyrm Salamandria. Though she herself is of a relatively moderate character compared to her kin, she is still their fiercest advocate (even in their worst excesses). Her counterpart is the ancient gold dragon Aurumantianixx, one of the defenders of mortals since their genesis and the esteemed elder of the metallics. They frequently butt heads in public debate, though rumors say they are far more friendly in private. Which is likely what led to the birth of their beloved daughter Diademaura, who is unofficially referred to as the Princess of the Drakemoot and advocates for the younger dragons (of all colors and kinds).
Even after edits & rereads I just love this vibe. It was something that wasn't pre-planned & just flowed when I was writing. Two ancient enemies turned politicians, lovers & aspirational "cool parents" & their earnest and exasperated young adult daughter
But they're all dragons
