Finally got around to some GNU Radio on my old MacBook Pro.

Managed to get an FM radio up and running, but I haven't cracked the code yet for decoding the RDS metadata signal that accompanies the audio.

Still, a decent start down a significant path!

Working on decoding the #signal from a car #keyfob using #gnuradio. The keep 1 for N block is a hack and I probably need to replace it with a proper clock detector and bit slicer, but visually it works.

Eventually, grudgingly, learned to experiment with venv and non-root accounts when on bare metal. But still just rebuild throwaway versions of bare metal laptops at a drop of a hat.

I'm looking at you #gnuradio

gr-APRS - A GNU Radio Block for Receiving APRS GNU Radio Hierarchial Block(s) to Test and Receive APRS Packet

Today I did a Pluto + #gnuradio implementation of an APRS RX for 144.800MHz. Based on handiko.github.io/gr-APRS/
Had to dive in to the Python code it produced to make it work. Seemed to miss out two lots of '()' related to the Polyphase Decimator blocks @dkozel.bsky.social have I found a bug ?

Progress on the pi5 #gnuradio implementation of LORA trx using Pluto+ (previous post) Now have (almost) error free message exchange via RF. Increased buffer sizes on the Pluto. Now to do a fancy GUI and try porting the Python to another machine.
Not started growing a pony tail or sandals yet. 🤣😋
