#Grainfarmers face more challenges. Rice/barley/rye/sorghum/corn/buckwheat are annuals. Wheat has long been in that group, but, as I have previously posted, there are perennial wheats, much more enduring/beneficial/protective of the soil as well. A few US farmers are seriously studying them.
