Canadian general who recommended F-35 deal now calls for purchase of other jets Retired Lt.-Gen. Yvan Blondin says building Canada’s future fighter force solely on the F-35 would be “irresponsible.”

Probably that. Also I have a link to a retired officer in my #GripenOclock mega-thread, that when active agreed on F-35, but once retired disagreed on it, due to USA being so untrustworthy. My '25 deep dive was quite damming against it as a high tech sportscar that can't get out of the garage

France worked on it and now has drone production. Where is Canada's? We could have been using the downturn in our auto industry. We could have been working to do this #cdnpoli #GripenOclock

build drones and Gripens ASAP #cdnpoli #GripenOclock

But you sold our values away already. Words don't match your actions. What values remain after we sign up for slave labour cars? Why can't we invest in Canada? F-35s impossible now, when are we building Gripens? #cdnpoli #gripenOclock

So this MUST mean, finally, Gripens built in Canada, yeah? You can't say integration becomes the source of subordination, and then choose F-35s. For the sake of our sovereignty it's #GripenOclock

Sure. Everyday is #GripenOclock

For Canadian jobs and a Canadian industry, then it must mean it's #GripenOclock. You can't say all these things then choose F-35s. It's preposterous

ask him where F-35 could land (trick question, it can't land anywhere). Also it would probably freeze up if it tried. I have a whole thing at #GripenOclock but it doesn't matter as his congressional office gave it 50-60% reliability "Hanger Queen" vs Brazil/Switzerland giving Gripen 80-90%

This must mean Gripens in Canada. Handing over our military to the same country threatening our sovereignty doesn't make a wit of sense. It's #GripenOclock

‘Completely unrealistic:’ Critics question Saab’s offer to bring 10,000 aerospace jobs to Canada Critics are questioning the solidity of Saab’s pitch to deliver 10,000 jobs in Canada if it decides to set up shop here to assemble Gripen fighter jets.

5000, 10000 jobs does it matter? Another CTV hack job. CEO of Saab vs FIVE critics in a row, all F-35 proponents. No one bothered to look at public data on hanger queen F-35s, nor acknowledge that other countries have abandoned it on failures, costs, and sovereignty. 🤡 #GripenOclock

Canadians say selecting the best fighter jet for the job matters more than jobs: Nanos As the Canadian government reviews its commitment to purchase American-made Lockheed Martin F-35 fighter jets, a new poll shows what Canadians think should be prioritized in procuring replacements to ...

CTV manipulation. US Congressional Budget Office shows F-35 is mission capable only 50-60% of the time. Gripen independently verified by Brazil & Switzerland rated at 80-90% reliable. Didn't get a Nanos poll on that, huh

Why does scandal crazed media ignore DND shilling F-35 turkeys? #GripenOclock

Our DND shilling F-35 since forever, cooking the books confirmed by Auditor Gen. No one else has a traitorous department with country after country ditching F-35s as too expensive and breaks down too much. Any simple question ruins their facade. Please keep pushing Gripens #GripenOclock

A lot of Manufacturing Consent going on to keep pushing the lacklustre F-35. But for our needs and operations the Gripen is by far the better fit. I believe this is an effort to create "winning conditions" for Carney to approve the F-35, but everything is working against it. It's #GripenOclock

And I have quotes from many retired officers, including one that was involved in the procurement process, that says we should not consider the F-35. The nice part is that determining capability isn't that hard. Lots of comments #GripenOclock

Absolutely true. When they took the summer to analyze I thought I'd do the same thinking it would take time. It didn't take 5 min. Tried again for an hour. Was also done. Gripen is the clear choice for Canada, winterized, further range, reinforced landing gear. Thread #GripenOclock

F-35 is a guzzler, garnering 6x the flight cost per hour cost versus the Gripen. Also takes 50 people per plane to service an F-35. Only 5 for a Gripen

These are all airports in Canada's North that the F-35 can't land on. Gripen can, as well as additional austere air strips and even roads. Not a chance an F-35 can work in the Arctic. F-35 range 2200km, Gripen 3200km (4000km with extra tank). And on and on #GripenOclock

Yes Gripens. Portugal, Spain, India, Turkey, Switzerland all ditched the ever cost overrunning F-35. Better to have control over your own sovereignty even if it means a lesser plane. But the more I learn about the Gripen the more I see F-35 enablers as shills for the USSA. Thread: #GripenOclock

Canadian North air strips. Gripen can land at all 30 of these, plus if we make any new adjacent strips or other locations. This is due to its reinforced landing gear. Short Take Off and Landing 600-800m. It's also designed for winter weather (Thanks Sweden!). F-35 cannot land here, needs special runways and heated hangers

Just seems like all answers are Stealth! to any question about the F-35 capabilities. Gripen while it doesn't have Stealth! it does have radar jamming as well as the ability to ghost itself. Gripen systems quick upgrades as it doesn't need permission from the USSA. Gripen also has greater range 3200km (+4000km with extra tank), while F-35 only 2200km.

Fealty-35 wholly unsuited for Canada's Arctic. It should have been disqualified. Also fuel guzzlers. Can't even take an extra fuel tank because it would ruin the stealth. F-35 limited to 2200km, Gripen 3200km (or 4000km w/ extra tank). I have a long thread at #GripenOclock, here are some highlights
