The General Minister and President is the Officer of the United Church of Christ, responsible and called by election of the General Synod according to the processes in the Bylaws. The General Synod may from time to time determine other Officers and provide a process for calling such other Officers in the Bylaws.
I am left wondering if anyone read this change in the unified governance proposal. It is a both/and, not the zero-sum, either/or we were talking about.
