Just before Christmas, we went to this new place by Simpson Wong on the Upper West Side. @kancil.nyc is a modern interpretation of food from Malaysia with some #hakkacuisine influence. What a great combination it is. Go try it out!

Two samosas with coriander and tamarind chutneys.

A bowl of veg hakka noodles, with lots of tender crisp veggie pieces and chopped spring onions and coriander leaf.

A bowl of momos, drenched in butter chicken gravy. IN the distance is my companion's plate with one samosa, a momo and veg Hakka noodles.

Lots of morning busyness meant lunch out. Went to Hakka Aroma on Lorraine in Kitchener -- veg samosa, veg noodles and chicken momos in butter sauce. Num.
