Yes, hubby, myself and the kids fell in line to have photos under the Hakone Shrine torii ⛩️ (Gate of Peace).. On the picturesque shores of Lake Ashi and at the base of Mount Hakone, there are three torii gates leading to Hakone Shrine. The largest and most iconic gate stands tall in the lake and is known as Heiwa no Torii, meaning Gate of Peace⛩️. Bloody cold and windy today, line was full of tourists and pilgrimages-alike, but it was all worth it!
Some huge Lenticular clouds ☁️greeted us as we are passing by a bridge in Shin-Tomei Expressway on our Drive back to Chiba, leaving Shizuoka-prefecture..
Passed by this shop for a rest and buy some original Odawara treats of varieties of Kamaboko(Japanese fish cake made from white fish, egg whites et.al) for omiages (gifts). The Sagami Bay (相模湾) straight this morning was calmly beautiful under a sunny blue-sky winter weather and we got to inhale some fresh salt air and breeze.
