Hatsu isn't the full word but meaning first-something. It's not a name but an alias she used in Ul'dah which Hancock found suspicious.
I don't think I've talked about her real name here yet but it's a big part the mystery of her background.

There are a lot of characters and wolnpc ships that I like that wouldn't work for Hatsu. The way she was so private and distant to most people didn't help. But some of my fav favs (hades, hyth, hermes, ardbert, zenos) are dead. The only one alive (not counting Hancock obvs)

Oh! I've spent like a year looking for a perfume that I felt suitable for Hatsu. Since her Azem is based off of εε©, I wanted scents of herbal tea, spider lilies, incense, and something sweet. Throw in peonies for Hatsu and it'd be perfect.

Hatsu has the longest tail length (when she hasn't been dropping her tail). She doesn't emote with her face much so I thought it'd be cute if she emoted with her tail (dog-like) and it was very obvious. π

I wouldn't change it even if SE lets us swap horns/face because I like both! I like how the horns look droopy, her round face, and her lips pre-DT. π₯² I thought that au ra looked pretty fierce with their horns and scales so when I made her, I wanted to try to make a softer look.

I didn't know it when I picked raen for Hatsu but the fact that a lot of them live in Sui-no-Sato was great for her background. (And canon glam. It wasn't planned but I sure liked the way it was decided for her.)
