#N1 and #Landsbankinn have joined the group of shareholders in #Eyjagöng ehf, an #Icelandic project company set up to explore and potentially develop a subsea #road #tunnel between the mainland of #Iceland and #Heimaey in the #Westman Islands.
Today most people travel to #Vestmannaeyjar, in the #Westman Islands, by the #ferry #Herjólfur. Road #tunnels to #Heimaey, the main island, would completely transform transport in the area.
