Jenny had to prepare and then taste-test fugu when she and Ben competed on Stanleyburg's most popular cooking show, The Gourmand's Gauntlet.
Doubly difficult because she has a particular allergy to most animal venom, but she was okay aside from a little lip swelling 🐡

...the joke with The Henches ( #henchespitch ) is that Zero and Reese kind of already do that
Ben and Jenny would both be screaming and tearing their hair out from being forced to sit still tho
Black and white comic half page with my characters Ben and Jenny Hench entering a cave full of snakes. J: "I guess they have enough natural security- this place is crawling with cobra! Ben, you got any antivenom in your bag?" B: "Yeah, Zero gave me some after our "Villainous Animal Handling" training last week. But these aren't cobra. These are rat snakes- Indian cobra mimics. They aren't venomous."

Made a special new portfolio site just for #henchespitch so I can have all my materials in one place!
It contains the pitch bible, pilot script, concept art, and a couple other assorted drawings, for now, but I may expand on it in the future

black and white inked comic page. Ben and Jenny Hench enter a darkened room, wondering where their new contractor is, until he, an X-themed villain named Citizen X, emerges from the shadows.
Additionally, I have been working on a second Henches comic book, and a weebly site dedicated to the project will be up by the end of the month!

Digital drawing of my OCs Jenny (left) and Ben (right) Hench dressed respectively as Victoria and Ygor from the Monsters Unchained ride at Epic Universe. The background is a blurred image of the ride queue.
Drawing of Ben and Jenny dressed as Victoria and Ygor again, only this time Ben is Victoria and Jenny is Ygor. Dialogue balloons read: Ben: "I should get to be the Doctor, I'm clearly more qualified!" Jenny: "Whatever you say, "Boss.""
Long time no art! (been a lot busier than I thought I would be lately)
Managed to squeeze out some halloweeny #henchespitch drawings. Of course, there was only one option for their costumes this year~

I have begun writing a second #henchespitch comic book. I think this one is also going to be very funny.
Dirty Jobs physicals are still for sale. If anyone knows any good websites for selling digital comics, please let me know...can you do that on Ko-Fi?
Happy #indieanimationday! I'm taking a break for now due to burnout, but I just finished a pitch bible for my original pitch, The Henches ( #henchespitch ), and still have copies of the Henches comic book, Dirty Jobs, for sale (DM to claim)
In the meantime, I'd love to collab with you!
Happy #portfolioday! I'm a #2danimator looking for work in #characterdesign, #visdev, and #storydevelopment, and I just spent the last couple months doing a TON of artwork for my original #indieanimation pitch #henchespitch

digital drawing of Ben and Jenny Hench taking a begrudged Agent Zero to a pride parade. Jenny is wearing the bisexual and genderqueer flags on her clothing, Ben is wearing the standard rainbow flag, and Zero is wearing the asexual flag.
A digital drawing of Harrison and Roxanne at Pride. Harrison is wearing a straight ally pin and rainbow accessories, along with a shirt that reads "I [heart] My Trans Girlfriend." He is yelling into a microphone: "Everyone! My girlfriend is awesome!" Roxanne is wearing a crop top with the trans flag on it and short with pansexual flag-colored stripes.
I've posted Henches At Pride before but not in their own post so here's a throwback to last year

Black and white ink cover for "The Henches, in their debut issue: Dirty Jobs!" The Henches are standing on a pile of cow manure, which Jenny is shoveling. Jenny looks at the reader and says via speech balloon: "Our covers don't lie- what you see is what you get!" Ben makes a disgusted expression and says: "At least you don't have to smell it..."
Print preview spread of two of the pages from the comic, showcasing the Henches robbing a back by using a "Nickel-Magna-Ray" at the teller. When they exit the bank, they come face-to-face with a police car, which turns out to be driven by their getaway driver, Reese.

Black and white inked comic page. Text boxes read, with accompanying panels: "A bright, sunny morning in the city of Stanleyburg. The birds are chirping and eating their breakfast...the children are going off to school...and another battle begins between the forces of good and evil." A Woman holds her hands up as a speech balloon reads "Freeze!" This is connected to the next panel, in which the speaker, Ben Hench, announces "this is a stick-up!" He is holding a device that looks like a gun with a horseshoe magnet on the end of the barrel. Behind him is his sister Jenny, brandishing a switchblade.
The bank teller looks at the duo, unimpressed. She pulls out a chunky, vintage-looking cell phone and calls the police: "Hello, S.B.P.D? Yeah, it's the Henches again." Jenny leaps onto the Teller's desk to grab the phone: "Oh no ya don't! We are not leaving empty-handed this time!" Ben activates his weapon: "Go, Nickel-Magna Ray!" Magnetic rays shoot out, causing coins to fly out of the teller's register while Jenny yoinks the phone away from her, trying to diffuse the situation on the other end: "Yeah, false alarm, Mister Gendarme. Everything's fine."
As Ben and Jenny make their exit, the teller says: "You know the police will have to come check on it anyway!" Jenny blows a raspberry, while Ben responds, "For this kinda chump change? Hardly seems worth it." Another panel shows them leaving, while Jenny gives finger guns: "So long, sucker! Pleasure doing business!" The Henches exit the bank to be immediately met with a police car, sirens blaring. The car rolls down the window, the driver in silhouette...until the next panel, where her identity is revealed to us via text box: "Reese Flunkie, secretary of the D.V.A. (Department of Villainous Affairs)". Reese says "It's me. Get in."
The Henches climb into the backseat of the car, while Reese hands them a slightly more modern flip phone. Dialogue reads: Jenny: "Thanks for bailing us out, Reese!" Reese: "Uh-huh. Boss wants to talk to you." Ben picks up the phone: "Hey, Zero! We just robbed a bank, what's cookin' with you?" Zero's dialogue comes out in a speech balloon over the phone: "Well done. Unfortunately, I can't find you any more work today." Ben and Jenny become concerned. Ben: "What? Why not? This isn't like you at all, Zero!" Jenny: "Don't tell us you've given up on us! We haven't hit rock bottom yet!" Panel cuts to Agent Zero's Office- D.V.A. Zero sits in a darkened room, one robotic hand attached to his tank pressing a call button on his desk, the other holding a thermometer. Zero's dialogue reads: "I've got a terrible cold today. Seems the Villainous Mailing Service mixed up the labels on my blood plasma and their mail-order "Instant Pandemic."" Zero sneezes.
Happy #indieanimationday! I've been working hard on developing The Henches, but I'm currently taking a backseat on animation to produce a #henchespitch comic book for my local scene.

digital drawings of Fred and Helen Hench, Ben and Jenny's parents. They are a fairly average-looking white couple with dull brown hair with grey streaks.
finally did some fullbodies of the Hench parents.
Fred is an accountant, Helen is a librarian, neither of them enitirely no what their kids are up to but are supportive of them no matter what.

A portrait of the Hench siblings, wearing "ugly" christmas sweaters, crouching and posing in front of their parents. To the left is their father, Fred Hench, an otherwise plain-looking man with square glasses and a large mustache. To the right is their mother, Helen Hench (nee Lackey), a similarly average-looking woman with grayish streaks in her hair. In the middle of the group is Zero, dour as always, in a hologram body with legs, two eyes (he glares to the side with his right eye, while his left is unfocused), and short hair. They are posed in a living room with a christmas tree behind them.
Last year I wrote a script where the Henches take Zero to meet their parents for christmas.

Hello!
I'm an illustrator and animator who tries to do a little bit of everything. Currently I'm working on an original project which can be found at the #henchespitch tag.
Here are a couple of my pieces that have done pretty well on here

A rough storyboard panel accompanied by a passage from the script. "Exterior, Stanleyburg Museum- Night. Jenny stands outside the front of the museum, gazing at its impressive entrance."
Another storyboard panel. In this one, the Hench siblings are conversing while Jenny holds a map that Ben has drawn. "Jenny grabs the map, admiring Ben's handiwork." Jenny: "Wow, Ben, you drew all of this? This is really good." Ben: "I know, I could have been an architect!"
Another rough storyboard panel of the Henches. Jenny: "Ben, you are a genius." Ben: "Heh, yeah, I got the smart genes. That's why it's called "Gene"-ius."
The follow-up panel to Ben's quip in the previous panel. "Jenny slaps Ben with the rolled-up museum map."

I've written a 20-ish minute pilot script and am currently working on some test boards, but I don't currently have the funds to hire anyone at a full, professional rate. In the meantime, I'd love to at least produce a proof-of-concept trailer/short.
