A photo of the High Island 2025 patch pinned to my cardigan. The patch allows you to enter the 5 bird sanctuaries here all year! This years patch features a Mourning Warbler. The patch is mostly yellow and reads “Houston Audubon Society” above the warbler and “High Island 2025” below it.

I’m at high island for birding today and tomorrow!! The variety of birds here is absolutely incredible! I’ve gotten so many new lifers.
