Eh I mostly focus on writing from experiences rather than what I've read elsewhere
that helps
Cliches might pop up I guess kind of like tropes but the big thing is not falling into stereotypes and bigotry
It also helps to read other own voices works

Matt Mason is why I don't read white horror authors, because what the fuck do you MEAN you expect people to PAY YOU for help with visibility, KNOWING that marginalized people get squashed in the algorithm, and often can't afford to EAT, let alone pay the fucking gatekeepers?
