HOW TO FALL IN LOVE How to fall in love—? Oh, let me start again. Why is falling in love even a thing? Well, it’s sort of a key to everything. And I’m not even talking the confusing bumble bees. I’m talking how love opens our eyes. I know, I know, love can also blind us. Though, I wonder whether that’s true of true love, and now my thoughts get all in a jumble because what the heck is true love and all the rest of it anyway? Let me start again and give you an idea of what I mean when I talk about love. I don’t know whether love opens the door to connecting to someone or whether connecting to someone opens the door to love. My guess is that these two walk hand in hand. Maybe they are in love. Connected and in love we are curious, we care, we want to protect, and we rejoice in just how amazing the other is. It’s never a one-sided thing. Love nurtures us just as loving does. This can happen with humans. This can happen with all that nature has to offer. Connected and in love with nature we are curious, we care, we want to protect, and we rejoice in just how amazing it is. It’s not a one-sided thing. Nature nurtures us just as loving nature does. So, how to fall in love? By opening our eyes and exploring the other, be it a plant, an animal, or a fellow human. By opening our minds to what the other has to offer and what we can offer in return. By finding a way to trust, communicate, appreciate, indulge. It’s never a one-sided thing. and with our planet.
I doubt we’ll get into action mode fast enough if we don’t.
