Most class B's are used to remove harmful or traumatic memories. They work by finding the specific protein markers that “mark” that memory , and removing them. This renders the memory “gone”, even though it isn't truly gone. This technique only works if the sophont in question has a haustoric Implant that had progressed to Stage II or has had a full Mneumonic mapping in the last seven days. Sophonts who have been digitized are fully mapped, and removing memories are as simple as removing a line of code. the poster has the HDG logo at the bottom, the text says, we just want what is best
