Square plastic food container filled with gelatin capsules that each has a small brown puparium inside, approximately the size of a grain of barley. Container is resting on dark brown walnuts.

Here's my collection of walnut husk maggot fly pupae. I'm hoping that some of them contain Coptera (Diapriidae), small wasps that dig down into the soil to inject their eggs. They are beautiful but rarely photographed. #diptera #hymentoptera #diapriidae #wasps #walnuts #insects
