At #ICCB2025, #conservation means connection: uplifting Indigenous voices, acting to protect species like sawfish even with limited data, and centering communities as leaders.
It was a pleasure delivering my talk on automated segmentation algorithms for #fracturehealing at #ICCB2025 in Rome. My humble growing team and I look forward to publishing our work & backing this research effort! #ortho #innovation
Thank you #ICCB2025 for hosting us in #RomeItaly. Our study benchmarked state of the art CNNs commonly used in clinical #ultrasound imaging for orthopedic fracture care; we report high variability among professions regarded as #experts & low inter-annotator reliability for bone fracture features!

I had a great time in Brisbane at @iccb2025.bsky.social presenting my first and second PhD chapters. I was even a finalist for best presentation at the conference!
I saw so many old friends, met great new people, and heard so much cool science.

Not all of it is indigenous, but research shows these plants likely make a big impact by cooling the city, boosting wellbeing, and supporting urban wildlife. I would love to see more of this around Australia! 🌆

Last month, I had the opportunity to attend the International Congress for Conservation Biology (ICCB) in Meanjin/Brisbane. It was great event, but the thing that really struck me was Brisbane's urban greening! 🌿
