What’s actually happening is simpler, but more diabolical. Media is playing our society for fools. You’re not reacting to facts. You’re reacting to narratives. Both sides are being gassed up by party leaders and political figure heads for THEIR gain. Not yours. Or Renee's. Or Alex's. Let that sink in. So those feelings bubbling up... ...are you being played like a fiddle for someone else's agenda. It's your traumas, triggers, and tribalism. The animal brain in overdrive. And thanks to algorithmic media, it's never been easier. I'm a marketer. I change minds for a living. And frankly, I'm disturbed and disappointed by what I see.

But if people weren't so easy to manipulate, I guess I wouldn't have a career. So listen. I'm not saying feelings aren't valid. I'm saying feelings aren't facts. The difference between an animal and a human is our capacity for rational thought. I sure hope we start using it.

This might be the most offensive post I've made. I genuinely don’t understand the public outrage around ICE and here's why: The claims: 👉 ICE is a violent organization 👉 ICE is deporting “thousands” of legal U.S. citizens 👉 ICE detention is inhumane But the facts don't agree. Since 2025, ICE has made over 328,000 arrests. During those arrest attempts, two people were killed (a 0.0006% incident rating). Tragic. Unfortunate. Unjust. I agree. But that still means 99.9994% of ICE arrests occurred without a fatal incident. In terms of "mistaken identity", documented reporting shows 170 U.S. citizens mistakenly detained. Some argue that number is underreported, so let’s be generous and double it to 340 just to appease the naysayers. Even then, ICE got citizenship status right 99.9% of the time.

Next claim: “ICE detention is inhumane because people die in custody.” According to record, 32 people died while in ICE custody in 2025. At the same time, ICE held 60,000+ detainees. That puts the odds of dying in ICE custody at roughly 1 in 1,000 to 1 in 2,000. For comparison, the crude annual death rate of the general U.S. population is about 1 in 100. Said differently: All things being equal (which they never are), your odds of survival in ICE custody is better than your odds of survival outside of ICE custody. Nothing – not even the best science in the world – is 100% accurate. So literally, in almost any other domain, an organization operating at 99.9%+ accuracy at this scale would be praised, not demonized. (Ironically, that’s exactly why the head of ICE was awarded during the Obama administration) Here's my point: The facts don’t justify the outrage, cruelty, and hatred folks are directing at friends, coworkers, and even their families.

For the record, I think it’s a tragedy that Pretti and Good lost their lives. I think full investigations should be done and as far as I can tell, I don’t think there was any cause for the Pretti shooting. It looked like a series of terrible things in too short of a time with too much noise and not enough communication. But it also looked like officers were assaulting people without cause. I also think that out of the tens of thousands of arrests, we would be hearing about all the ones that have gone wrong and it’s been these two as the major ones. It also happened where there are active sanctuary cities not anywhere else. It’s like causing the problem only to be appalled by the consequence you created. But people act like these two instances are all of ICE. Believe me, we’d hear about more And comparing deporting people to go back to their home countries (especially when one side actively hates the US, shouldn’t you be encouraging this?), to Nazi Germany is insane. There is a reason for these being the main controversies because in the vast majority of instances, no one is dying. On top of all of this, the census is based on populations, including illegal immigrants. That’s where we get the number of representatives in each state. The left is clearly very happy to allow more representatives in their states based on illegal immigration. This is how they steal the country.
