What a difference a day makes! 1.04" of rain at ICN Champaign yesterday caused soil moisture levels to double (or more) in the first 8". #ilsoils
ICN Champaign received 1.15" in August, 2.31" less than its long-term average. Soil moisture levels fell for most of the month, ending August low in the top 20". #ilsoils @ilclimatologist.bsky.social
