Whereas Pallet is a small coastal village, Viridian is a larger city to the north with more infrastructure, and is a common pit stop for Pokémon trainers in the Kanto region. Police officer Jenny, who has been in the lookout for a band of suspected Pokémon thieves, gives Ash and the badly hurt Pikachu a ride in her motorcycle to the city's Pokémon Center. They are followed by an annoyed Misty, who carries her charred bike on her shoulders.
Viridian is a large city north of Pallet, and is a common pit stop for #Pokémon trainers.
