Sharpie sketch of Tessa, a young woman with purple sidelocked hair and a square-ish beanie, kneels under an umbrella in the rain. The rain outside the umbrella is dark and scratchy, but underneath the umbrella, shining like a beam, it's much drier and with warm yellow motes floating by, There's also a little black cat, and their tail has tentacle suckers on the underside.
The same sketch as before, but showing some of the tools used. A double-ended fine/ultrafine black sharpie (I replaced the smaller cap with a pink one so it's easier to spot), a purple, yellow and blue S-note marker, a Uni ball white gelpen, and a Staedtler white brush. It's drawn on 32 pound printer paper, which is super smooth, bright, and thick. It's held on top of a blue storage clipboard I've had forever, and on top of my currently very fuschia laptop.
Look at that, 2 #dailysketch in a row!
In college, my professor said to keep a block of loose 32 lb paper and a clipboard as a sketchbook. You can work straight with a sharpie, and it builds confidence. No undersketch. A hilighter works for shading, too! #Inkwitch
