Day 11: Dún Bhalóir ☀️ #irishmythtober

Bhalóir was a leader of the Formorians. He is often described as a giant with a large eye that wreaks destruction when opened. He has been interpreted as a personification of the scorching sun, hence what I've done here!

Danu is an ancient mother goddess associated with the rivers, fertility and the abundance in the land.

I went with with a hare in a humanoid like form in its witchy garb! Markers again today as I had alot of fun yesterday.
Hares in Ireland have long been seen as mysterious creatures, deeply connected to the otherworld.

day 6: Tír na nÓg🌱 of #irishmythtober

Tír na nÓg is one of the names for the Celtic Otherworld. It was said that one of the ways to visit was by going through ancient burial mounds or caves, which I have tried to do here! I used markers today for some fun.

Day 4: Merrow of #irishmythtober 🧜🏻‍♀️

Merrow  is a mer-creature in Irish folklore.The merrows supposedly require a magical cap (Irish: cochaillín draíochta; anglicised: cohuleen druith) in order to travel between deep water and dry land.
