A pied flycatcher male sat in the midst of some branches of a tree. The sun was coming up and the little bird is quite silhouetted in the frame. It has rim light and so does the branch. It’s quite small in the frame but I like to see a bird in its environment - and not just sat on a stick.

On a nature walk t’other morn & spotted this male Pied Flycatcher as the sun was coming up. A beautiful morning except for the 15 midgie bites I have now 🤭
