no but you cant use any color that does not exist within the space of the palette - but if your art program can do it - it's legal.

This palette immediately reminds me of strawberry chocolate... so I wanted my character to fit that image!

I didn't have much time, so I created a quick doodle. I'll definitely be participating in future challenges! :D

I'm actually quite proud of the result of this one! ^^

The limited palette freed me from needing to choose colors myself while also forcing my hand with blending modes. A pleasant challenge.

Definitely plan to participate in these more often!

a limited palette piece using pink, brown, red, orange and cream to make a bust shot of an OC, Lord Aurinko. He has bright red fluffy hair with 3 crystal horns that are half sunstone / half obsidian. He has golden eyes and a bright smile. He's dressed in all red clothing with a sunrise with clouds in the background.

Of course I had to do my own palette challenge for here's Lord Aurinko himself for #janpalette26 ! I didn't palette break, the only colors used were the ones in the palette. There's just some layer blending modes being used! I'll put my layers in the comments

It's more simplistic, but I wanted to draw Cloudmaker again. It's kinda of weird but I keep redesigning them, so I have a new design I feel happy with now. #janpalette26 was the palette used.

The Rose Orders are comprised of alchemist with noble and gentle origin. Their long linages, old money, and political connections have allowed them to cling to withering prestige, and placed them as some of the most influential alchemist still around. Highly enamored with tradition, and obsessed with preserving face, disputes and matters of honor are handled via antiquated means, via duels. Yet any lord who wishes for a long life knows not to fight their own battles, duels are instead to be handled by Rose Knights. Apprentices taken from less fortunate orders to act as professional duelist willing to fight for their mentor's honor. Those who serve well and outlive their teachers have the potential to be recognized as true alchemist deserving of respect and allowed to take on apprentices of their own, those who fail either die of their injuries or are censored, removed from all records and stripped of all titles, destined to spend the rest of their lives under the surveillance of hunters ready to strike if they ever divulge any secrets they had learnt during their tutelage. Though it is the Rose Knights who prove themselves the most that often become hunters, endlessly devouring their less capable peers, for battle is an exquisite art, and an alchemist an artist.
