VIDEO: Army veteran detained outside White House after burning American flag A U.S. Army veteran was taken into custody in front of the White House on Monday after burning a flag in protest of one of President Donald Trump's latest executive order.

#JayCarey, a retired Army combat veteran and #BronzeStar recipient who served for 22 years, joined a demonstration outside the #WhiteHouse.
He said it was in protest of President Trump's executive order making flag-burning a prosecutable offense.
It's not yet clear what charges he may be facing.
