I brought this print because in 2024 Jon was having a hard time with his prognosis and my husband was in a MH ward. It brought me joy. Now its the keeper of things I forget to do.
Also i haven't taken last years calendar. Jon sent it to me twice so my best friend in NSW has it too #jonkudelka

Remembering this conversation with @kudelka.bsky.social over at the other place—a man absolutely thrumming with life and energy—which he managed to capture and put into his work—especially when drawing Tasmanian devils. And then the night he posted about his tumour. Just awful. 💔 #JonKudelka RIP.

Obviously terribly sad and difficult for Jon's family, but i do so feel for all his fellow cartoonists and artists, he was their mate, their 'partner in crime.'
It's bloody hard loosing a mate.

So sad to report that award-winning Australian cartoonist #JonKudelka has passed away. Jon had an acerbic wit and amazing intellect that was reflected in his cartoons and his public commentary. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Go well, Jon.

This is devastating news. My family & I are huge fans of #JonKudelka, both the man & his art & his very talented wife Margaret. Australia has lost a huge talent & a passionate voice who used his platform to denounce everything wrong with the world & highlight everything good. Rest in power. 🕯
