Since the mask was still a smidgen too tight (just a bit) and I lack a heat gun, we opted to boil the damn thing.
It worked! Was not as controlled as I wanted it to be and will need to maybe hit a spot or two with the hair dryer but its otherwise a perfect fit!

So many missprints later and all four pieces are finally done. Will this get done in time for Friday? No! But I am one step closer to an improved mask for the firebug.

Foam clay was the ticket. Much lighter and the mask is wearable!
Can it be done neater? Yes. That will be the mask for october because I ain't got time to redo this before Friday. Gotta wait for things to dry, maybe sand a bit. Modge podge. Feathers.
