I am a stone and rock, gal. I find and collect heart-shaped rocks everywhere I go. Sometimes I paint on them and give them away as gifts. Mostly they are sitting in jars and pretty dishes all around my home.

This looks like someone has take the top of the Statue of Liberty down for reconstruction. I know that it is not, but when I look at it, that is what I see. Again, the precision blows me away.

There is a feeling of post-apocalyptical in her work. She ended her own life, having struggled with bouts of depression. I think the limited color palette of her work may represent her inner turmoil of darkness.
