koharu's is written entirely in far eastern script and is very neat and organized. most of it is just a factual retelling of events, particularly in her early days, but as time goes on she starts treating it as a sort of diary as well, recording her thoughts and feelings

koharu is, unfortunately, doomed by the narrative in different ways: doomed to die (non-wol) vs. doomed to live (wol).
had she never become the wol, she would have stayed in doma and eventually died, likely at zenos's hand, in the rebellion with the rest of her family.

koharu is very, very distantly related to kugane's founder, zuiko buhen, on her mother's side. her mother comes from the main branch of the buhen clan, who are his descendants, but married a doman noble from a branch family

sex is absolutely a coping mechanism/form of stress relief for koharu, as well as one small area of her life where she feels she has complete control when she feels like she's losing control everywhere else. she does not have a healthy relationship with her sex life

koharu becomes azem and it begins in shb. her azem crystal contains azem's memories, not just the summoning spell, and prolonged exposure to it (as well repeated uses of the summoning spell) basically drip-feeds them to her. rejoining with ardbert definitely didn't help.

he funny thing about the new drk weapon in the LL is that even if it is koharu-coded, i probably won't use it for long because i'm weirdly particular about her canon accuracy with glams. her current drk weapon, cronus lux, has lore behind how she got it. so did odenta.

persephone, obviously, for one. that's her azem, but that mix of softness and queen of the underworld is also very koharu. but also very much odysseus. especially epic's rendition of him. epic odysseus is SO koharu-core it kills me, actually.

koharu is an extreme lightweight and when drunk she's prone to promiscuity, rising to literally any challenge bait, and extremely impulsive behaviour, a combination of which leads to making very bad decisions when she drinks, so she tends to avoid alcohol in general.

ascian au koharu is neat because if it's going to happen at all, it happens in shb when her entire faith gets shaken. the hydaelyn-is-a-primal reveal, especially with hydaelyn's silence for so long up to that point, utterly destroyed her for a solid minute.

THAT SAID, in her Final Battle™ (ie, the 1v1 against zenos), she fights as a SAM, not DRK. i cannot emphasize how much she needed that for the catharsis and as an end to not only her story, but to her overall vengeance arc re: doma. the parallels and finality of it is 🔥

born & raised in a SAM family, jobstone is an heirloom. also learned geomancy from mom (isn't great at it tho). had both-pre-ARR. DRK is the only job she wasn't pre-packaged with & the quests are canon for her. she speedruns them post-4.3 and is a DRK until retirement*
