Man sieht eine Person mit Hut, sie geht neben Schienen, aus einer Leitung strömt Dampf. Links ist ein Güterflachwagen zu sehen, der etwas geladen hat. Die Gleise werden von einer Rohrbrücke überspannt. Rechts führt sie zu einem kaminähnlichen Apparat. Das ganze Bild ist eher Dunkel, da wenig Sonnenlicht einfallen kann. Das Bild zeigt das Innere eines modernen, lichtdurchfluteten Gebäudes mit minimalistischer Architektur. Der Raum ist groß und offen gestaltet, mit weißen Wänden und klaren Linien. Die Decke besteht aus mehreren Glasdachfenstern, durch die Tageslicht einfällt und markante Schatten von den Trägern und Fensterrahmen auf die Wände wirft. An der rechten Seite verläuft eine breite Treppe nach oben. Im Mittelpunkt des Bildes hängt eine große, runde Uhr an einer langen Kette von der Decke herab, an einer zweiten Kette hängt ein Stein mit der ungefähren Größeder Uhr. Die Wände sind glatt und weiß, was den Raum noch heller und offener wirken lässt. An den Brüstungen der oberen Etage verläuft ein Holzhandlauf, der einen warmen Kontrast zur sonst kühlen Farbgebung bietet. Die Atmosphäre wirkt ruhig, geordnet und einladend es handelt sich um das Foyer der Kunsthalle Mannheim.
Angekommen sind wir in Mannheim. Während der Rest sich auf Shoppingtour begibt verkrieche ich mich in die #kunsthallemannheim.
