Paper brain sculpture

My 7 yo daughter made me this amazing brain sculpture for Mother's Day! #kvelling

A Seder plate, with traditional parsley, egg, charoseth walnut/apple dip, horseradish, a bowl of salt water, a roasted lamb shank bone and a less traditional orange.

Matzo ball dumplings on a green cutting board, waiting to be cooked. (Made from scratch, btw.)

Beef brisket, braised and cooked, low and slow in red wine and tomato sauce, with carrots and prunes and two heads of garlic.

Pavlova! A giant white meringue shell, topped with strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, slivered almonds and coconut cream. Not shown - the amazing tart homemade lemon curd that filled the shell.

The Kid did it again! First place in informative speaking at Patriot Games, the two-day NIETOC qualifying tournament at George Washington High School (a top-10 NSDA school).

This is her second NIETOC bid, so she’s officially a qualifier.
