But as for actual growth or opportunities as an art business I had to realize that Instagram isn't really doing anything for me. All I ever got from it were dm's from people trying to scam me. This is definitely not entirely Instagram's fault and has a lot to do with my own issues, but there are many obstacles on Instagram that make it hard for a small artist to grow and develop a platform. Actually the algorithm seems to have decided that non-followers should not see my content at all anymore. I am tired of twisting and turning for meager outcomes. The ever changing algorithm as well as its ever growing hunger for content that has next to nothing to do with our actual art has taken up way too much time and ultimately distracted me from the things I need to do to achieve something."
