It smells of mildew. It smells wet and unkempt. The floor is relatively clear, for such a space. There's only three or four boards scattered across the wooden floor. It clearly hasn't been tended to for a while, and dirt and grit grind underneath your feet. The walls and ceiling are cracked, and a broad window has one panel slightly raised, allowing a cold breeze to pass through, a momentary reprieve from the smell of mold. It would be eerie, with how silent it is, if you didn't recognize it. You've never been here, of course, that's silly. And yet, it's familiar. As if you have been here. Maybe in a dream? That is... Also silly. And yet, you know that if you were to turn around, if you could somehow angle the photo differently, it would show a crumbling door frame, and a once-grand carved wooden bannister. What an odd thing to think. And an odder thing to know.
