Cooling is rarely steady. Experiments show how #HeatTransfer changes dynamically during rapid temperature drops. These transient effects matter for boiling regimes and could help refine models of #VaporLayer formation.

Fake or fact: Acetone can display the Leidenfrost effect.
FACT. Acetone has a low boiling point (~56 °C) and vaporizes quickly. On a surface significantly hotter than its boiling point, it can form a stable vapor layer, allowing the droplet to levitate and move around. So: FACT, acetone is indeed a good candidate for the Leidenfrost effect.

Fake or fact? The Leidenfrost effect prevents the droplet from touching the surface, so it doesn’t heat up.
Answer: FALSE (partly). The vapor layer separating the droplet from the surface strongly limits direct heat transfer. This slows the heating down, but does not suppress it: heat is still transferred through the vapor layer and by internal fluid motion. As a result, the droplet eventually evaporates — much more slowly than with direct contact.
